Quiz Club
At Bethania Institute of Management Studies, the Quiz Club is more than just a group—it's a community of inquisitive minds. It is a dynamic platform for students to explore, engage, and challenge themselves in the world of knowledge. Whether it’s academic trivia, general knowledge, or specialized topics, the Quiz Club encourages a culture of curiosity and intellectual growth. Our club hosts quizzes, aiming to nurture critical thinking, creativity, and teamwork among students.
Mission
To foster a love for knowledge and learning through engaging quiz competitions and activities, and to provide students with opportunities to expand their horizons and develop essential skills such as teamwork, quick thinking, and problem-solving.
Objectives
• To organize quiz competitions that promote learning.
• To recognize students with a passion for trivia.
• To encourage collaborative learning and teamwork among students.
• To motivate and support students in their quest for knowledge.
Activities
- A quiz competition on the theme of independence was organized on August 15, 2024, as part of the Independence Day celebrations by the College Union. The event aimed to engage participants in exploring the rich history and values of India’s freedom struggle.
- A quiz competition featuring topics like Current Affairs, History, Literature, Sports, Economy, Finance, Trivia, and RBI was organized on September 9, 2024, as a screening round for the RBI90 Quiz. Students who achieved good scores in this round were selected to participate in the RBI90 Quiz.
- A quiz competition was held on November 1, 2024, to celebrate Kerala Piravi Day, with questions covering the state's culture, geography, history, and traditions. The competition was conducted house-wise within the college, allowing students to participate and showcase their knowledge about Kerala.
Quiz Warriors of BIMS
Our students have showcased their talent and intellect by representing our college in numerous esteemed quiz competitions. Their participation highlights our dedication to fostering academic excellence and overall growth.
- On August 15, 2023, our students, Gopisankar (1st BBA) and Neeraja (1st BCA), proudly represented BIMS as the first team to participate in an intercollegiate Independence Day quiz competition conducted by ASAP. Their outstanding performance earned them the first prize at the district level.
- Three teams from our college participated in the RBI90 Quiz, held online from September 19 to 21, 2024. The teams included Ashwin Sudheer Nair & Abhiram P.R. (1st B.Com), Pournnami K.B. & Sreelakshmi K. (1st BCA), and Aleena K.G. Sajeevan (1st BCom) & Anasooya Sajeevan (1st BCA). Their active participation in this competition reflects their enthusiasm and dedication to learning beyond the classroom.
- Pournnami K.B. and Dhithimos E.J. from 1st BCA represented our college in the quiz competition held as part of the Media & Literature Festival of Chetana, organized by Chetana College of Media and Performing Arts, Chiyyaram, Thrissur. The event was conducted on October 17, 2024, as a part of their Vividh 2024 celebration.
- On October 26, 2024, two teams from our college participated in a quiz competition organized as part of Police Commemoration Day 2024. The event was held at the Thrissur City Police Training Centre (City Commissioner's Office). The participating teams included Anasooya Sajeevan and Pournnami K.B. (1st BCA) and Ashwin Sudheer Nair and Abhiram P.R. (1st BCom), showcasing their enthusiasm and competitive spirit.
- On November 16, 2024, our college participated in the 'Yes Quiz Me' competition organized by Mathrubhumi and Fair Future Overseas Educational Consultancy at St. Thomas College (Autonomous), Thrissur. Representing our institution were the teams of Pournnami K.B. (1st BCA) and Neeraja (2nd BCA), along with Jayasoorya (2nd BBA) and Abishankar (2nd BCom), showcasing their passion and academic excellence.
