Nature Club
The Nature Club at Bethania Institute of Management is a vibrant and eco-conscious organization committed to fostering environmental awareness and sustainability among students. It serves as a platform for students passionate about nature to come together and engage in meaningful activities that promote a harmonious coexistence with the environment. The Nature Club at BIMS plays a pivotal role in creating an environmentally conscious culture within the institute. Through its various initiatives, the club has significantly contributed to enhancing campus greenery, reducing waste, and instilling a sense of ecological responsibility among students and faculty.
Mission
To inspire individuals to protect the environment by raising awareness, promoting sustainable practices, and encouraging active participation in conservation efforts.
Objectives
• To educate students about environmental issues such as pollution, climate change, and biodiversity loss.
• To encourage the adoption of eco-friendly practices like recycling, energy conservation, and waste management.
• To undertake activities to protect natural resources, such as tree planting and clean-up drives.
Activities
• The activities of the Nature Club in our college began on 5th June 2023, with a tree-planting ceremony in the college premises. The event was graced by Father Benjamin OIC, who inaugurated the initiative by planting the first tree.
• On 5th June 2024, in celebration of World Environment Day, our students actively participated in a tree-planting drive within the college premises
• Padiparakkunna malayalam bird photography exhibition was conducted in St John’s Bethany EHSS Auditorium on October 25 to 27 , 2024. Which showcased Kerala's bird diversity and promoted environmental awareness. The event was inaugurated by Sreeja Arangottukara. The exhibition featured an impressive collection of bird photographs, along with a documentary directed by V.K. Sreeraman.
